If I asked you to stand in a room and speak to 250 people today about why you are a great real estate agent, would you say yes? Most of you would jump at the chance. Yet, when you post a video online and it “only” gets 200 views, you feel like a failure because it didn’t hit a million.

Here is the truth: you don’t need to go viral to make a killing on social media. In fact, many people with viral videos are broke. The real “goldmine” is in the people who already know, like, and trust you.

When you get a few hundred views, you are having an intimate conversation with a room full of people about what you do. That is powerful.

Document every deal. I saw this firsthand with a 23-year-old agent on our team. When she started, she didn’t have many clients, and all her friends were renters. Instead of trying to “create” fancy content, she just decided to document her process.

She turned one single client into seven or eight different posts. Here is how she did it:

  • A video of the showing request being accepted.
  • A photo of a unique feature in the house (she once even found a bat in a house and posted that!).
  • A post when the contract was ratified.
  • A quick update during the home inspection.
  • A photo at the closing table.
  • A final shot of the smiling client.

By the time she was done, everyone in her circle thought she was closing seven deals for every one she actually had. This created momentum and reinforced her credibility. Because she remained visible, people began to see her as a trusted expert in her area.

She went from a handful of deals to over 80 deals in a single year. She never relied on viral content, but she stayed consistent. Her audience saw her actively working, traveling, enjoying her lifestyle, and helping clients. Even without direct communication, they felt connected to her journey.

Build trust through consistency. Social media is about being “top of mind” so that when someone thinks of real estate, they think of you. You don’t need a production crew; you just need to show up and show the work you are already doing.
